History
Balmoral Calisthenics Club was established in 1955 and it was originally known as Bentleigh Methodist Girls Gymnasium. Over the years, the name changed to Andco, and eventually became Balmoral Calisthenics Club.
The name Balmoral came from the name of street where the practice hall was originally located - Balmoral Avenue, Bentleigh.
Andrea Pallot was the sole instructor of the club for 26 years commencing in 1982. Andrea's commitment and love of the club has helped form so much of the club's history.
During the period of time the club was called Andco, the club leotard was red and white. When the club become Balmoral Calisthenics Club, the club colours changed to red and blue.
Balmoral has over the last couple of years moved to a new location at Oakleigh South Primary School which gives students the opportunity to practice on a stage.
